Meditation reflection

I chose to meditate on my bedroom floor because it is warm and I can keep awake. While I was meditating I started to concentrate on separating my thoughts. After I did this, I chose one though and began to concentrate o n that thought. Then I erased that thought and then I totally isolated my thoughts from anything else. When I achieved this I started to notice that I had an easier time hearing sounds that, normally I would have to concentrate really hard to hear. Some sounds were the buzzing from my light, a car coming out the the parking lot, and the water going through pipe throughout my apartment complex. This I am sort of used to this experience as I did a similar thing at my gumdo dojo, where we would sit and meditate and calm ourselves before we proceeded with our exercises. Overall though, I recieved no inspiration but I after I meditated I felt fresh and more awake.
